It’s a good thing that dancing can be so much fun!
Dancing provides many benefits for the body, mainly by exercising many different areas of the body in a way that is both fun and soothing to the person performing the dance. Most dances incorporate arms movements along with leg, hip, and torso movements providing an overall workout that cannot be beat. Over time, the muscles in the body strengthen and the person becomes healthier due to the repeated exercise on a regular basis.
Dancing can also strengthen your lungs and heart by providing a cardiovascular aerobic workout that can be increased or decreased in intensity depending on the dance that is being performed. Dancing is a harmless exercise for all ages of individuals, from toddlers beginning to strengthen their legs to seniors that need an easy, safe exercise to keep them strong. Individuals have often found that dancing is a great way to lose weight when coupled with the proper dietary changes to their lives.
